I am an experienced Maths tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience, having worked with more than 50 students across a wide range of abilities. I specialise in GCSE Mathematics, covering both Foundation and Higher tiers, and have helped students improve their grades, develop confidence and achieve their academic goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, as I understand that everyone learns differently. I begin by identifying the topics a student finds challenging and assessing their current understanding. From there, I develop a structured approach that focuses on strengthening their foundations and gradually introducing more difficult concepts.

During lessons, I explain mathematical concepts clearly and break down challenging questions into manageable steps. I encourage students to attempt questions independently, providing guidance where necessary rather than simply giving them the answers. This helps develop their problem-solving skills and confidence.

I also place a strong emphasis on exam preparation. I regularly use GCSE past-paper questions, exam-style exercises and mark schemes to familiarise students with the types of questions they are likely to encounter. I help students understand how marks are awarded, recognise common mistakes and improve their exam technique.

For students who struggle with Maths, I take a patient and encouraging approach, revisiting topics as often as necessary until they feel comfortable. For higher-achieving students, I introduce more challenging problems to help them work towards grades 8 and 9.

My goal is not simply to help students pass their exams, but to ensure they develop a genuine understanding of Mathematics and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems independently.
I offer both online and face-to-face lessons in Leeds, providing a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
