My Biology lessons are interactive, personalised, and designed to help students understand concepts deeply rather than simply memorise facts. With over four years of secondary teaching experience, I support learners studying Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, IB MYP, and IB DP Biology.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s ability, learning pace, academic goals, and areas requiring improvement. I begin by assessing prior knowledge and identifying learning gaps before introducing new concepts. I use clear explanations, diagrams, animations, real-life examples, questioning, and guided activities to make complex Biology topics easier to understand and remember.
Where appropriate, I incorporate virtual practical activities, experimental data, case studies, and problem-solving tasks to develop scientific reasoning and application skills. Students are encouraged to participate actively, ask questions, explain concepts in their own words, and connect Biology to real-life situations.
For students preparing for examinations, lessons include past-paper and exam-style questions. I help learners understand command words, analyse data, interpret graphs, structure answers effectively, manage examination time, and avoid common mistakes. I provide constructive feedback throughout each lesson and use formative assessment to monitor progress and target areas that need further support.
My online classroom is supportive, engaging, and student-centred. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. My goal is to build confidence, independent learning skills, scientific thinking, and strong examination performance while making Biology interesting, accessible, and achievable.
