I like to know what level my student is starting at and so ask a lot of questions. I also believe that students need to gain confidence with the subject and the best way to do this is to talk about it. Stretching of a student's ability will multiply learning but I am always conscious of going too far and putting a student off so always play a fine balance. I always use analogies to try and make complicated concepts more accessible. Finally I am aware that all students will be sitting an exam at some stage and have a lot of experience in preparing students for exams. I am also an examiner and have a good understanding of the common errors that students will make and how best to approach exam for complete success. I only ask that the students I tutor commit to the process and trust me. You will enjoy every minute!
