I am a College Study Skills Officer, holding a BA in Classics and an MA in History from Royal Holloway, University of London. Alongside my college teaching role, I bring nearly 10 years of private 1-to-1 tutoring experience. I have also taught A Level. My approach combines deep subject expertise with advanced and personal academic coaching. I focus heavily on teaching students essay structures, critical source analysis, and the independent time-management skills required for academic success.

I am passionate about education and deeply understand the diverse needs of students. Drawing on my own advanced academic journey and nearly 10 years of 1-to-1 tutoring, I focus on building student confidence and tailoring my approach to unlock their full potential. I like to view every student as an individual and get to know them, finding out what their strengths and weaknesses are, so I can tailor the tutoring uniquely to each student.

Currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Glasgow, I leverage my advanced research background to demystify complex academic expectations for my students. Having successfully navigated the transition from my undergraduate foundation to post-graduate excellence, I specialise in transforming raw subject knowledge into high-scoring, polished arguments. In our sessions, we do not just review content, we dissect marking criteria, analyse historiographical debates, and build rigorous proofreading habits. This comprehensive framework is specifically designed to elevate student performance and confidence, and prepare undergraduate students for the unique, independent demands of university-level examinations and dissertation writing.
