About me

Every lesson starts by identifying exactly where the student is struggling — I don't waste time on what they already know. From there I build explanations from the ground up, using worked examples and real-world analogies before moving to practice questions. Every lesson starts by identifying exactly where the student is struggling — I don't waste time on what they already know. From there I build explanations from the ground up, using worked examples and real-world analogies before moving to practice questions. I adapt the pace entirely to the student; some need more time on fundamentals, others are ready to push further.
For GCSE and A Level students I combine topic teaching with exam technique — mark scheme logic, time management, and how to structure written proofs and workings clearly. For younger students I focus on building number confidence and making maths feel approachable rather than intimidating.
I have two years of experience across Kumon and secondary school settings, teaching one-to-one and in small groups. I am a Mathematics student at Queen Mary University of London (up to 96% in my first year) and a UKMT medalist, so I can stretch more able students well beyond the curriculum when needed.
Between lessons I provide summary notes, practice questions, and feedback on written work so progress continues outside of our sessions. I also encourage students to ask questions freely — there are no silly questions in my lessons. My goal is always the same: to build confidence alongside ability, so that students not only improve their grades but genuinely start to enjoy mathematics.
