Ted Dunkerley

I am Ted Dunkerley, a full-time A Level student studying English Literature, Classics and Music Foundation Diploma. Since I was 9 years old I have always been interested in music, and have been obsessed with the guitar ever since I got one for my birthday the same year! I hope to go pro as a musician, and I am currently in a few bands including Jazz Futures and my own band, Martin's Birthday. Having played at Love Supreme Jazz Festival and the Hope and Ruin pub in Brighton, I have gigging performance as well as recording performance as I have recorded with Jazz Futures at Brighton Road Studios. I also have experience with grades, achieving a distinction (92%) in Grade 6 and I am currently working towards Grade 8. My teaching methodology is one of fun interaction, where students take the reins and decide what they want to learn. Whether you want to learn songs, grades, scales, improvisation, chords or music theory, I've got you covered with entertaining lessons. Dedication is at the heart of my teaching, and having completed grades up to 6 myself, currently working towards grade 8, I will encourage students to be committed to their instrument and grow to love practising. I've always been in bands, with most of my experience coming from my Jazz band who have played at Love Supreme Jazz Festival, and my more rock-oriented band who have played at major Brighton venues such as The Hope and Ruin. I am open to lessons above 1 hour if required, however as a full-time A-Level student I will only be available after 2:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and 3:30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
