My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I teach both Economics and Mathematics and have previous teaching experience, so I understand that different students learn in different ways. I begin by identifying the student’s current level, goals and any areas they find challenging. From there, I explain concepts clearly and step by step, using real-world examples in Economics and worked examples in Mathematics. Lessons usually combine explanation, guided practice, independent questions and short reviews to check understanding. I also use past-paper and exam-style questions to help students improve their technique and confidence. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and focus on understanding the reasoning behind an answer rather than simply memorising methods. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and steadily improving their knowledge, problem-solving skills and exam performance. I also make lessons practical and engaging by connecting topics to situations students can recognise from everyday life, current events and exam questions. In Economics, this might include discussing inflation, unemployment, markets or government policy, while in Mathematics I focus on building strong methods and showing how different topics connect. I adjust the pace depending on the student, revisiting difficult areas when necessary and increasing the challenge as confidence grows. At the end of each lesson, I summarise the key points, set clear targets for improvement and, where useful, suggest focused practice so students know exactly what to work on before the next session.
