Tamara Rojas

I have over 10 years of experience providing private tutoring for children and adults across different educational levels. Throughout my career, I have taught English-Spanish, Spanish-English, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. In addition, while living in Chile, I prepared students for university entrance exams, both for institutions in Chile and abroad. This experience has allowed me to work with learners of diverse ages, academic backgrounds, and goals, always adapting my teaching to their specific needs and helping them build confidence, improve performance, and develop stronger study habits.

As a teacher, I would describe myself as responsible, empathetic, organized, and highly attentive to each student’s learning process. I care deeply about my students’ progress and strive to create a supportive, engaging, and respectful environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of learning. I also bring a curious and dynamic approach to my work, which helps me keep lessons engaging and tailored to the interests and pace of each learner. I believe that teaching should be both effective and motivating, so I make every effort to be committed, patient, and encouraging while maintaining clear academic goals.

My lessons usually last one hour. If the classes are occasional or irregular, I ask for the topics in advance so I can prepare the session carefully. After each class, I send a practice guide along with a summary of the main content covered. If the student follows a weekly or monthly plan, I establish the objectives in advance according to their needs and requirements, with specific goals for each session. In those cases, I also provide both study materials and exercises to reinforce learning and ensure steady progress over time.
