I start by going through the specification points and giving targets to what we should be able to achieve at the end of the session. I then go through the basics of the topic explaining the concept and answering any questions the student may have. Then it is followed by exam questions starting with slightly easier ones and progressing into more difficult ones. We can also go through mark schemes and see where the marks are picked up from a question and ensure every mark is getting picked up. We will focus on the areas of maths that prove most difficult and spend most of the time developing a strength in that area, and then occasionally revisit older topics (that you have marked as strong topics) to make sure no content is forgotten. We will go topic by topic referring to the speciation and towards exam season we will be doing many exam papers to ensure you know how the exam is set out and prepare you for the real thing. In addition we can go through papers together. In the beginning of year 11 i was an average to weak maths student who constantly scored a little higher than the halfway mark however through hard work i discovered a passion for maths and this increased my grades as i realised it isn’t as hard as it seems, i hope with our lessons you too can achieve the feeling of finally understanding Maths and achieve and maintain the high grades.
