Symone Degraft

I am a qualified Maths and English specialist who has has been teaching professionally for the past 8 years, with a strong focus in maths. I obtained a honors degree from the University of Greenwich in 2016. I have taught across a range of levels including: primary, secondary and college. My most recent position has been teaching GCSE Maths with a focus on maths mastery. This approach aims to enhance students’ enjoyment, resilience, understanding and attainment in mathematics delivering excellent grades.


I tailor my teaching to suit SATS/ GCSE examinations (AQA, Edexcel, Pearsons, City and Guilds) which has given me a high pass rate and happy students; I achieve excellent outcomes for both parents and students. I adapt my sessions to suit the varied needs of each learner creating fun, stimulating and engaging sessions which gives them a passion for mathematics and a strong foundation. I have successfully managed to improve my year 6 pass rate to 90% reaching the national standard or greater depths.
