I am a highly enthusiastic individual who is keen to get stuck into anything; I have
experience in teaching, hospitality and office-based environments that have all included people-centred activity. Equal to my level of hard work is my optimism and positivity, which I have become known for due to the smile on my face, even when presented with difficulties. I am currently and undergraduate student at the University of Manchester studying International Disaster Management and Spanish. I have recently completed a year abroad in Huelva, Spain working as an English Language Assistant in a primary school. Through this job I gained experience in cross cultural communication, teaching grammatical, conversational, vocab-specific and pronunciation aspects of the English language to a wide range of ages and abilities of children. My content, methods of teaching and execution differed according to each specific sets of needs; included but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, creating and leading group activity, 1:1 conversations and class project execution. I have worked with neurotypical children, neurodivergent children and SEN children and thoroughly enjoy the work involved with helping a child reach their potential, especially with regards to language learning.
