I am a qualified Computer Science teacher in the UK, with Qualified Teacher Status, a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My main specialism is Computing, including Python programming, algorithms, problem-solving and Computer Science exam preparation. I also teach Mathematics, including high-level mathematical thinking and Olympiad-style problem solving.

I have taught in UK secondary schools, including grammar school experience. At Chesham Grammar School, my students achieved excellent results in Python programming, with around one third obtaining A* grades. This reflects my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, structure lessons effectively and help students make rapid progress.

I am especially suited to ambitious, highly motivated and hard-working students who want to achieve strong results, develop real intellectual confidence and perform at a high level. My lessons are not just about memorising answers; they are about learning how to think logically, solve problems independently and understand the subject deeply.

I can support students with Python, algorithms, pseudocode, databases, HTML/CSS, computer systems, GCSE Computer Science, A-level Computer Science and Mathematics up to GCSE and beyond. I can also prepare younger pupils for grammar school entrance, especially where strong reasoning, mathematics and problem-solving skills are required.

My lessons are calm, clear and well organised. I usually begin by checking what the student already understands, then I build the topic step by step using examples, questions, diagrams and practical tasks. For programming, I focus strongly on logic and confidence, so students learn how to think like programmers, not just how to copy code.

My background combines Computer Science, Psychology, Mathematics and Business and many years of working with young people. This helps me understand how students learn, where they get stuck, and how to guide them towards excellent progress.
