Sophie Foggin

I conduct conversational lessons structured around discussions of topical subjects, drawing on current affairs media material such as news articles, podcasts, documentaries, films and music from the Spanish-speaking world. We will discuss the chosen topic and then move onto a question and answer format, perhaps into a debate or a review to ensure comprehension in Spanish and add opinion, critical thinking and personal judgement. The style of the session will be casual but structured, and my teaching style is friendly, approachable yet professional. I have more than fifteen years of experience speaking Spanish -- a skill I perfected while living and working in Colombia for seven years and plan to use material from both Spain and Latin America to structure my lessons. I would be the perfect tutor for GCSE, AS Level, A Level and university students. I look forward to working with you!
