Most of my experience comes from volunteering, from primary school ages during my time at University and since graduating have been volunteering at the English4All group in Leeds which involves teaching and supporting the teaching of English to adults. I would like to use this opportunity to teach one-on-one and widen my experience with teaching. As someone with a great appreciation for culture and the languages and who grew up in Cairo, I am aware of the importance of linguistics in both professional and day-to-day contexts so appreciate the effort it takes to learn English.

In terms of my lessons, we will begin with a warmer activity to introduce the main focus of the lesson, then a presentation giving you the information you need followed by some practice and finally the produce stage. Ultimately, the main goal is that for every topic the student should be able to gain something from the lesson and actively gain confidence in using the language in real-world contexts.

I hope that the dynamic of the lessons can remain less formal and focus more on practicing using English in whatever environment you will be in- whether that be informal conversations with friends or within a professional environment. We can use part of our introduction to set out your aims and targets and what you hope to achieve by the end of our lessons.
