I have tutored professionally for 11+ and GCSE level students. From my additional experience as an older sister and teaching assistant, I am able to listen and respond to the student's needs, and help their understanding by breaking down tricky concepts so the learning reaches beyond the surface level and forms adequate foundations to build on. I prepare lesson content from my own notes as well as resources from the exam board and trusted websites. I like to keep the lessons light and engaging, responding to the student's mood and motivations.

My lessons begin with a quick recap of any mistakes that were made in the previous session, followed by a new task based on an area of focus that either the student has made me aware of, or that I have picked up on from earlier work. After we go over the task requirements together, I would let the student have some individual time to work on the questions, with the option to ask me for help if they are really stuck. Following this, we would either look over the answers together and discuss what went wrong, or if it is a longer piece of work, I would let the student work on a past exam paper whilst I mark it. Time permitting, we would go over the marked answers and finish the lesson with a short fun quiz. I would then mark any completed work outside of the lesson time and bring the feedback to the following session.
