I tailor my lessons towards each student, focussing on topics they struggle with most. My lessons start with a review and mini-lesson on the topic to be studied, a quick q&a with the student to check their understanding of the main concepts, and then I work through past paper questions with the student that implement what I have taught them. Depending on preference, students can also receive homework, which I review and give feedback on. If needed, I can review homework with the students and complete another session if the student has particularly struggled to grasp a concept. I also offer help with schoolwork, going through any homework or reviewing issues that a student may have had in a lesson. My lessons offer a one-on-one environment where students can fully engage and ask questions and make great improvements outside of the classroom, so they can perform their best when sitting exams. I also offer exam-style sessions to help prepare students for exams and have a session on exam techniques to help students best answer exam papers. Private tutoring offers a unique environment for students to fully explore their potential, which unfortunately is often missed in mainstream education. My lessons can be tailored to best fit the needs of the student, focussing on either basic learning, testing of learning, or exam practice, depending on the level the student is performing at. I have had experience both helping students achieve pass marks where they otherwise would have failed as well as boosting students to achieve top grades.
