My name is Sophie. I’m a final-year Economics student at the University of Warwick, and I achieved 3 A*s in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Economics.

I’ve been tutoring Maths and Economics for 5 years and have helped students make significant progress. I’m confident helping students who find Maths and Economics challenging, and I’ll tailor lessons to make sure you really understand the content, build confidence and develop strong exam technique.

My lessons are tailored to each student, with a focus on really understanding the content, building confidence and developing strong exam technique. I also like to teach efficient ways of approaching questions so students can work through them more confidently in exams.

Every student learns differently, so I’d explain concepts in different ways and identify where a student is struggling. I’d also make sure I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. A good tutor should build not only understanding, but also confidence and independent problem-solving skills. For online tutoring especially, I think clear communication, good organisation and engaging lessons are essential to keeping students focused and motivated.
