I am an experienced qualified Doctor with a PGCert in Physiology. With tutoring I believe that students results and improvement in confidence. I am well placed to support students studying A level through to GCSE Biology, including those preparing for medical careers. I have experience of working with people with autism, ADHD and different learning styles.
I offer a results-focused approach: we agree clear goals at the outset, and my aim is to help each student achieve those goals. I therefore offer a lowered fee for the first 5 sessions where students can assess progress in an area, and chose to continue based on results. I can help students develop a deep understanding of foundations, while improving their exam technique which is important part of getting best results.
My teaching approach is tailored to each learner, identifying gaps in understanding and focusing on the areas that will have the greatest impact on their progress. By building on students' strengths while addressing their weaknesses, I help them make meaningful improvements and reach their full potential in a supportive and encouraging learning environment. I have worked with people with autism and understand their needs when it comes to learning. I can make adjustments based on specific situations.
In Medical School, where I organised anatomy lectures and supported fellow students in their learning. I also hold a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Physiology, which was heavily based in muscle and Cardiorespiratory physiology, and its mechanisms of control. I can teach medical students fundamentals of Physiology, Anatomy and Core medical knowledge needed to pass the undergraduate exam.
