My lessons focus mainly on helping students feel comfortable and confident speaking Spanish. We’ll work on conversation and real-life situations, while incorporating grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and syntax whenever they are useful for improving communication.
I like keeping lessons interactive and adapting them to each student’s level, interests, and goals. Rather than simply memorising rules, I encourage students to actively use Spanish, ask questions, and learn through conversation. Depending on what you want to improve, we might discuss everyday topics, practise specific situations, work through common mistakes, or focus on vocabulary and expressions that are useful in real conversations.
I also believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning a language. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students can speak without worrying about getting everything perfect, while still receiving clear and helpful corrections when needed. I can explain the reasoning behind corrections and grammar points, so students understand not only what is correct, but also why.
My experience tutoring both Spanish and English has taught me how to adapt my explanations and activities to different learners. Whether you want to improve your fluency, become more confident speaking, expand your vocabulary, or strengthen specific areas of your Spanish, I aim to make lessons practical, engaging, and comfortable.
The goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling that you have actually used Spanish and made progress, rather than simply completed another lesson. I want students to feel that Spanish is something they can actually use confidently outside the classroom.
