My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I understand that English Literature can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to analysing texts, structuring essays and preparing for exams, so I aim to create a calm environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Lessons can take place online, and I may also be able to travel to selected areas across Birmingham depending on distance and availability.

During lessons, we can focus on essay structure, understanding themes and characters, improving analytical writing skills, revision techniques and exam preparation. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s learning preferences and pace to make lessons as effective and approachable as possible.

Having completed my own studies recently, I understand the pressures students face and the importance of encouragement alongside academic support. My goal is not only to help students improve grades, but also to help them feel more confident in their abilities and enjoy learning English Literature more.
