An experienced and passionate ESOL and Italian tutor, dedicated to designing and delivering personalised lessons.

I have a Master's Degree in Journalism from Birkbeck, University of London, and a CELTA teaching qualification from International House London.

I started teaching English online in early 2021 during the height of the pandemic, before moving to a classroom setting later on that year. I continue to teach both English and Italian online as a part-time commitment.

Equipped with infinite patience, a charismatic sense of humour and a contagious (hopefully?!) love for grammar, I am an expert in creating personalised lessons tailored to learners' needs and abilities. I keep lessons interesting by including learners' hobbies and passions.

I like to use a blend of authentic and non-authentic materials, depending on learners' skills, and I employ different techniques to check understanding, introduce new vocabulary and explain grammar points. I usually assign homework as one effective way to assess learners' progress. However, assessment is also carried out during our sessions (you just won't see it!).

I always encourage learners to practise in their own time by doing activities they like - whether that's watching movies, listening to podcasts or reading the news.
