I typically begin by identifying the student’s current level and the areas they need the most support in, then build a clear plan that balances content learning with exam practice and skill development. Each session is focused and purposeful, combining explanation, guided practice, and independent application so students can immediately apply what they’ve learned.
For Spanish (KS1–GCSE), lessons are structured around the four key skill areas: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. I use a mix of targeted topic revision, vocabulary building, conversation practice, and past paper questions to strengthen both understanding and exam technique. I also place strong emphasis on speaking confidence and exam-style responses, helping students develop fluency and accuracy over time. For KS1 Maths, I focus on breaking down core concepts into simple, manageable steps, using repetition, examples, and practice questions to build confidence and mastery.
My experience includes tutoring students 1-to-1 online as well as in person, alongside a school placement where I supported learning in a structured classroom environment. I have helped students progress significantly, including moving from predicted GCSE grades of C to achieving A grades in Spanish through consistent, focused support. Across all my lessons, I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and steadily improving.
