I have over 9 years of experience providing private Maths tuition to secondary school and GCSE students, supporting learners with a wide range of abilities. I am a patient, approachable and encouraging tutor who takes the time to understand each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement. My teaching focuses on developing genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods. I break challenging topics down into clear, manageable steps and use questioning, worked examples and targeted practice to help students understand the reasoning behind each method. I adapt the pace and level of support to suit each student, while gradually encouraging them to become more confident and independent in solving problems. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to approach different question styles and explain their reasoning clearly.
