I am a University College London student who studies BSc Biochemistry. I believe I am capable of tutoring students in Biology as I have achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A* at A-Level in Biology. With lessons the format would be you contacting me and letting me know topics or questions you are struggling with and I would explain and go through the topic in our lessons and take you through more exam questions and mark schemes. I will be able to help you understand the content and translate that understanding into marking points as the biology mark schemes in particular require you to use very specific language . I have had previous experience in helping GCSE Spanish students at a revision club at my 6th form which has taught me to narrow down support to what you need it in most and how to communicate effectively with students. My organisational skills and patience have been honed through volunteering at my local library running an arts and crafts club for children. I had to plan a craft every 2 weeks and ensure I had all the materials and try to engage 3-6 year olds which is no easy feat which makes tutoring students at GCSE and A-Level easier as they are generally able to focus more and are genuinely committed. I have had challenges while learning so I am able to change how I explain things and have empathy for those students that need a little extra help.
