I am a dedicated and patient maths tutor specialising in 11+ preparation, with a strong focus on building confidence and developing effective exam techniques. My goal is to help students not only improve their skills, but also feel comfortable and motivated when approaching challenging questions.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, then create a personalised plan covering key 11+ topics such as arithmetic, problem-solving, and non-verbal reasoning. Lessons are structured, interactive, and engaging, combining clear explanations with guided practice and timed exercises to build both understanding and speed.

A key focus of my teaching is exam technique. I support students with time management, recognising common question patterns, and avoiding typical mistakes. Regular feedback is provided so that progress is clear, and sessions can be adjusted to ensure continuous improvement. I can also provide additional practice materials to reinforce learning between lessons.

My teaching style is supportive and encouraging. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and are not afraid to make mistakes. Building confidence is just as important as building ability, especially when preparing for competitive exams like the 11+.

I mainly operate online or in the Loughborough (Leicestershire area) or Sutton Coldfield during school holidays.
