I am a British English teacher based in Sardinia with over thirty years of teaching experience, working with learners from age three to sixty-five. Trained as a primary school teacher in the UK, I hold full qualified teacher status and spent eight years teaching in London and Kent, specialising in early literacy and serving as Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
Since relocating to Sardinia, I have spent over fifteen years within the Italian state school system and have run my own English language school in Siniscola. My deep familiarity with Italian learners gives me a clear understanding of their strengths, challenges, and learning needs.
For young children aged three to eleven, I use a multisensory synthetic phonics approach, bringing lessons to life through puppets, songs and imaginative play. I am a trained and recently recertified phonics practitioner. Parents are encouraged to observe and are actively supported to reinforce learning at home.
For older learners and adults, I specialise in internationally recognised spoken English exam preparation. As a certified English language examiner, I understand precisely how oral assessments are structured and where candidates lose marks. I have maintained a one hundred percent pass rate across every student I have prepared in Italy.
My teaching is always personalised, drawing on my Special Educational Needs background to adapt to different learning styles and paces. My single goal in every lesson is to build within you, a genuine and lasting personal confidence in your a own ability to speak and write in the English language.
