Shehla Khan

My Name is Shehla Khan. I am from India. I have completed my Bachelor in Maths from Isabella Thoburn College, in Lucknow, India and then went on to do my Master in English from The English and Foreign Languages University, in Hyderabad, India. I have been into the teaching profession for the past 12 years. I have taught students right from grade 1 to grade 12 to even University students. At the university level, I teach students mostly Applied Linguistics or English Communication while privately I have tutored students from grade 1 to grade 10, on Maths and Science subjects given my B.Sc in Maths background.
I find Maths to be an exciting subject as it lends itself to be used in any field. It quantifies and calibrates things in a manner that can make us see things with greater precision as is evident from the popularity of Data Sciences nowadays. I have also had some years of research experience wherein my knowledge of Mathematics came in handy in applying a statistical model to a language problem. The real use of any subject these days is in its application to solve real world problems to make a better world.
My teaching of Maths therefore is geared towards making my students visualize and solve better so that they develop a real love for the subject. I believe that learning should transform into skill that enables my student to finally become conscientious and analytical minded creators.
