During sixth form, I worked as a library assistant where I regularly helped younger students with their homework, explained scientific and mathematical concepts, and supported revision. This gave me experience in guiding students, adapting explanations to different levels, and building their confidence.
I also have experience helping classmates with exam preparation for GCSE and A-level sciences and maths. Through this, I learned how to break down complex ideas into manageable steps and tailor explanations to each student’s understanding.
My teaching approach is patient, clear, and supportive. I focus on understanding where a student is struggling and then breaking down the topic into simple, logical steps. I use past papers, exam-style questions, and active practice to help students improve both understanding and exam technique.
