I’m an ambitious, academically driven sixth-form student at Bournemouth School, offering GCSE and KS3 tutoring in Maths and English Literature. Having achieved the equivalent of A* grades in both subjects, I’m now on track for three A*s at A-level. My ambition is to study at a leading university such as Cambridge or the London School of Economics and pursue a career in finance. I set high standards for myself, and I want to help other students develop the confidence, understanding and determination to reach their own goals.
Having recently completed my GCSEs, I bring a student’s perspective on what makes revision effective and where exam preparation can become difficult. I understand the challenge of knowing a topic but struggling to apply it under pressure. My tutoring focuses on helping students close that gap through clear explanations, purposeful practice and constructive feedback.
In Maths, I break challenging questions into manageable steps, helping students understand the reasoning behind each method and recognise when to use it. In English Literature, I focus on developing perceptive analysis, selecting effective evidence and building convincing, well-structured essays. Lessons are tailored to the student’s exam-board specification, current understanding and target grades, so each session has a clear purpose.
I’m passionate about helping students see progress in both their work and their confidence. Whether they are strengthening the foundations or aiming for the highest grades, I offer a patient, encouraging approach that makes ambitious goals feel more achievable. My aim is to give students practical skills and study habits they can use independently, throughout their GCSEs and beyond.
