My Maths lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning goals. I begin by understanding the student’s current level, identifying areas where they need support, and setting clear learning objectives.

During lessons, I explain mathematical concepts step by step using simple explanations and practical examples. I then work through examples with the student before giving them opportunities to solve questions independently. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes without feeling worried, as this helps build confidence and understanding.

Lessons can include topic explanations, guided practice, exam-style questions, homework support, revision and preparation for tests or exams. I adapt the pace and difficulty according to each student, making sure they understand the concept before moving on.

I have a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Mathematics and experience teaching Mathematics at school and college level. I am also currently pursuing a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics with QTS, which is further developing my teaching skills and understanding of effective learning strategies.

My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more confident, independent and comfortable with Mathematics.
