Sebastian Pountney

Hello, I'm Sebastian. I am a native English speaker from London, England, and I have the well-regarded Cambridge CELTA teaching qualification. I've worked with both adults and younger people in language schools and on programs, as well as online. I have experience with students from all over the world, including from Europe, Latin America and Asia. Whether your first language is Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Japanese or any other, this won't be a stumbling block.

Lessons will focus on your individual needs and curiosity: what do you want to use English for, and why? We'll work towards your goals and improve in steps towards greater and greater competence and skill.

Areas of learning can be vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, speaking and listening, conversational etiquette; English for business, tourism, TV and movies, work in the service industry and so on.

There's no barrier to entry: whatever your skill level, I'm happy to help and offer you the best opportunity to take your path to success with the English language. I appreciate that learning English can be difficult, tiring and require a commitment and focus: but our lessons should be enjoyable and flow along pretty gently.

I like to focus on practical examples drawn from the world around us, showing how English can be, and is, used in real-life situations. Whether you'd like to order food and drink, take public transport, call a supplier for your company, write a thank-you letter or complete any other task, look no further: I can help.
