Savithra Wijesooriya

I teach Maths for primary school students, with a focus on 11+ preparation. I hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with strong Maths results and tutoring experience (School and University level), and I currently work full time in IT, bringing strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills into my teaching.

My lessons are structured, clear, and tailored to each student. I follow a planned approach using 11+-recommended materials, covering the yearly syllabus step by step. Lessons include clear explanations, worked examples, and plenty of practice, helping students understand the logic behind maths rather than memorising methods.

For primary students, I focus on building strong foundations, confidence, and enjoyment in maths. Once the basics are secure, students find it much easier to progress to more challenging 11+ style questions. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and make steady, lasting progress.
