Advert description
I teach Maths for secondary school and GCSE students, supporting learners at Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Foundation and Higher) levels. I hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with strong maths results and have tutoring experience at both school and university level. I currently work full time in IT, bringing strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills into my teaching.
My lessons are structured, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. I follow a planned approach aligned with the GCSE syllabus, focusing on clear explanations, step-by-step methods, and regular practice. I help students understand the why behind the maths, not just memorise formulas, so they can apply their knowledge confidently in exams.
For secondary (KS3) students, I focus on strengthening core concepts and building confidence. For GCSE students, lessons target key topics, address weak areas, and use exam-style questions to develop technique, accuracy, and problem-solving skills. I aim to create a supportive and focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can make steady progress.
I offer online, one-to-one and small group maths tutoring. Sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to help students gain confidence and improve performance.
Rates:
• Secondary / GCSE Maths: £30–£40 per session (1 hour)
• First lesson free (assessment + teaching)
