My lessons are relaxed, engaging and tailored to each student. I’ll start by getting to know your current level, goals and areas you’d like to improve, then plan lessons around what will help you make the most progress!

Depending on your needs, lessons might include conversation practice, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, listening and exam preparation. I set reading, writing and listening activities as homework where appropriate, allowing us to maximise valuable lesson time for speaking and interactive practice.

As a qualified teacher with experience teaching modern languages and English to learners from different backgrounds, I understand that everyone learns differently. I’ll adapt my approach to suit you, while providing clear guidance, encouragement and practical strategies.

I also spent a year living in Madrid, where I immersed myself in Spanish language and culture. I speak European Spanish (Castilian), with a Madrid accent. I’ve even had several Spanish speakers ask where I’m from, assuming I’m Spanish — which I’m always rather flattered by! ????

I also speak Spanish with my young daughter, alongside rotating between French, German and English from birth. This reflects my belief that regular exposure to languages, especially through natural communication, is one of the best ways to develop confidence and fluency.

For exam students, we can work specifically on the skills needed to achieve your target grade, including accuracy, vocabulary, fluency and exam technique. For conversational learners, we’ll focus on developing natural, confident communication in real-life situations.
