I am an experienced Mathematics tutor with around ten years of teaching experience in schools and private tutoring. I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Mathematics and am currently pursuing an MSc by Research in Mathematics in the UK. I have taught students across different age groups and am confident supporting learners preparing for KS3, GCSE Foundation and Higher examinations, including Edexcel, AQA and OCR exam boards.
My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I usually begin by checking prior knowledge and identifying any gaps before explaining the topic clearly through worked examples. Students then practise questions with my guidance before attempting exam-style problems independently. I encourage them to explain their reasoning, ask questions and learn from mistakes, as this helps build genuine understanding rather than reliance on memorised methods.
Depending on the student’s goals, lessons may include topic-based teaching, revision, homework support, past-paper practice and targeted work on weaker areas. I provide carefully selected questions and worksheets, and I regularly revisit previous topics to strengthen retention. My approach is patient, encouraging and adaptable, but I also challenge students to reach their full potential. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident discussing difficulties and developing their problem-solving skills. Whether a student needs to rebuild the basics, improve exam technique or work towards a higher grade, I plan every lesson with clear objectives and measurable progress in mind.
