My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I mainly focus on GCSE Biology and Chemistry, supporting students from KS1 to KS4 by helping them build confidence, improve their understanding of difficult topics and develop effective exam techniques.
Each lesson is planned around the student’s current ability and goals. I usually begin by identifying areas they find challenging, then break down concepts into clear explanations using diagrams, examples and step-by-step methods. I also use active recall, questioning and practice questions throughout lessons to make sure students are not just memorising content but actually understanding how to apply it.
A big part of my teaching style is exam preparation. Having achieved strong GCSE results myself (all A*s), I understand the importance of knowing the specification, recognising what examiners are looking for and practising how to structure answers. I regularly use past paper questions, mark schemes and feedback to help students improve their accuracy and confidence when approaching exams.
My lessons are delivered online, creating a flexible environment where students can learn from the comfort of their own home. I use digital resources, shared notes and a virtual whiteboard to make lessons clear and engaging. Students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes and actively participate rather than just listen.
I have experience providing one-to-one GCSE tutoring, where I have supported students through weekly sessions by creating personalised revision resources, explaining challenging topics and helping them develop better study habits. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach depending on whether they need more support with understanding content, exam technique, revision strategies or confidence.
My aim is to make lessons organised, supportive and focused on helping students make real progress.
