Samuel Hickson

As a successful and motivated events and venue professional with a strong passion for sports, I consistently exceed expectations by delivering outstanding results within event management and fan engagement. I thrive in collaborative team settings but am equally effective working independently, bringing integrity, focus, and a proactive attitude to every project. With almost 10 years of experience working in sports events, I have successfully organized and executed both small- and large-scale events, including working at prestigious global events such as the FIFA Men's and Women's World Cups and the Rugby World Cup 2025. My expertise spans event planning and delivery, team operations, venue management, stakeholder management, and delivering high-quality experiences under pressure. I hold both a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Event Management. I have also guest lectured at a couple universities back home in Australia and are currently a part of a mentoring program here in the UK.

My lessons will be fun, with lots of real world examples sprinkled through actual theoretical learning. I had enough of boring lessons during my university degrees, so I want to make it as fun and engaging as possible whilst still helping you learn and understand the subject areas. It won't be death by PowerPoint, it will be utilising your lived experience with my own lived experience and the backing of theory to get to where we want to be!
