Samuel Carson Carson

I’m a passionate and approachable music tutor who believes lessons should feel encouraging, creative, and enjoyable. Whether you’re a complete beginner picking up an instrument for the first time or someone looking to build confidence and improve technique, I tailor each lesson to the individual student and their goals.
I teach flute and saxophone primarily, but I can also support beginners with guitar, piano, drums, music theory, songwriting, improvisation, and composition. Lessons can focus on learning songs you love, building strong technical foundations, reading music, ear training, improvisation, or simply gaining confidence playing music in a relaxed environment.
My teaching style is patient, flexible, and supportive. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt lessons to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles. I have many years of experience teaching and coaching people of all ages through both music and sport, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and enjoying the learning process.
Alongside teaching, I am an active musician and multi-instrumentalist. I release my own music through my band Y0GA and as a solo artist under the name Samuel Carson. I also work creatively in film and animation, contributing as an animator and model maker on the BAFTA-winning short film Two Black Boys in Paradise.
I believe music should be accessible, inspiring, and fun, and I always try to help students build confidence as well as musical ability.
