Samantha Mirto

I am a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Thrive Practitioner (Adolescents), and psychology student, with a current DBS on the Update Service. Over the years, I have worked in both mainstream and specialist school settings, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, and SEMH. I also mentor adults, offering study skills, organisation, and confidence-building support that makes a real difference to daily life as well as academic progress.

My lessons are always tailored to the individual. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, and goals, then adapt the content and style to suit them. For some students this might mean clear, step-by-step guidance and structure, while for others it may involve encouragement, accountability, and building resilience. No two learners are the same, and I believe teaching should reflect that.

I see learning as more than just grades on a page. It should feel safe, supportive, and empowering, giving students the tools they need to thrive both in the classroom and beyond. My approach blends academic progress with practical life skills such as focus, organisation, and self-confidence. This creates not only stronger results but also a deeper sense of self-belief and independence that lasts long after our sessions end.
