My sessions are calm, supportive, and fully tailored to each individual. I work in a coaching-based way that supports behaviour change, helping students build confidence, clarity, and more effective ways of working with their own mind, learning style, and internal motivation.
We begin by exploring what is happening internally — such as stress, motivation, focus, or internal conflict — and gently unpacking the patterns and pressures that may be influencing this. From there, we work together to create small, achievable steps that support sustainable change and a greater sense of autonomy and self-direction.
My approach is grounded in person-centred practice and behaviour change principles, including motivation, autonomy, and self-determination theory. I aim to support students in reconnecting with their own innate wisdom and capacity for growth, rather than relying on external pressure or rigid expectations.
Sessions often include practical strategies for study structure and time management, alongside emotional regulation tools, confidence building, and approaches that support how the individual brain works — including neurodivergent thinking styles and sensory or cognitive overwhelm.
With lived experience of dyslexia, neurodivergence, parenting four children, and returning to university later in life, I bring a deep sense of empathy and understanding to my work. My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental, and empowering.
My aim is to support not just academic progress, but greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and long-term confidence, so students feel more in control of how they learn, think, and move forward. I work with genuine care, respect, and commitment to each student’s individual journey.
