Qualified maths teacher with nine years' experience tutoring maths and economics at all levels (GCSE, A-level, IB, university, etc.). I have an Oxbridge PGCE, a bachelor's degree and two master's degrees. I tutor students of all abilities, helping them build confidence and prepare for exams. I'm supportive and careful, and try to give my students a sense of achievement--and maybe even fun!

What a typical tutorial looks like:
Before each tutorial I ask each student to identify a topic that they would like to work on, and we spend the bulk of our time on practice problems. If you have practice problems you want to work on that's fine, otherwise I can provide some. It's very much a dialogue, not just me talking. My favourite question when approaching a new problem is "What are your thoughts?" so that we can unpack what you know or don't know, where any misconceptions may lie, and what areas need work. After each session I like to conclude by recapping what we learnt in that session and offering suggestions of exercises that the student can work on to increase their confidence.
