I aim to make classes enjoyable, stimulating and informative. I use a combination of dedicated teaching material appropriate to the student's level and needs plus 'real-life' authentic material including songs and native speaker podcasts related to the student's objectives and interests.

My specialisms include IELTS preparation for band 7, conversation practice, giving business presentations, building your vocabulary and use of complex grammar as well as developing fluency and accurate pronunciation.

I do not offer a free first class, however, before starting classes with a student I always request a meeting online or in person (at no cost) which usually lasts about 30 minutes. This exploratory meeting is for our mutual benefit as in a 1:1 lesson I consider it essential to have a good rapport between teacher and student. There is no obligation to take lessons with me after this meeting.

The point of the meeting is to give me the opportunity to assess the student's starting level of English and to simultaneously give the student the opportunity to ask me about any aspect of the classes.
