I’m Sade, a Psychology graduate with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and over 10 years’ experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

I offer personalised 1:1 SEN tuition, academic support, mentoring and ABA-informed support, helping children develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive.

My experience includes supporting children with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, developmental delays, behavioural and emotional needs, attention difficulties, low confidence and challenges with motivation and engagement.

I believe meaningful learning begins when a child feels safe, understood, respected and capable.

Rather than expecting every child to learn in the same way, I adapt my approach to their individual personality, strengths, interests, communication style and developmental needs.

For children who struggle to focus or engage, I incorporate movement, visual resources, practical activities, interests and achievable tasks. For children with low confidence, I focus on celebrating progress and building their belief in their own abilities.

ABA-Informed Support & Positive Behaviour Strategies

I have experience using ABA-informed approaches to support children’s learning, communication, engagement, independence and positive behaviour.

My approach may incorporate positive reinforcement, prompting, task breakdown, structured activities, observation of behaviour patterns and progress monitoring to help children develop meaningful skills.

I can work collaboratively with parents, carers and other professionals, including implementing individualised programmes under the guidance of an ABA consultant or supervising professional where appropriate. I value teamwork and consistency while also bringing my own ideas, creativity and tailored resources to sessions to meet each child’s needs.

My aim is not simply to help a child complete homework or improve a test score. I want them to develop skills that benefit them beyond the session.

Progress looks different for every child. It might mean completing independent writing, communicating a need for help, remaining engaged for longer or attempting something they previously avoided. I recognise and celebrate these achievements while encouraging continued development.

Working Together to Support Your Child

I work collaboratively with parents, carers, teachers and multidisciplinary professionals to help provide consistent, individualised support. I welcome guidance from consultants and supervising professionals while using my initiative to develop engaging activities and resources suited to each child’s goals.

My Psychology background and extensive SEND experience help me consider the factors affecting a child’s learning, behaviour, motivation and development.

I understand that choosing the right tutor is an important decision. You want someone who will be patient, adaptable and committed to understanding your child rather than judging them.

My goal is for every child to finish a session feeling, “I can do this,” rather than, “I’m not good at this.”

Every child learns differently. My role is to understand how your child learns best, build on their strengths and help them discover what they are capable of.
