Sabrina, a native of Uruguay, South America, holds a bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidad de la República, a diploma in Applied Criminology from the Universidad de Chile, and an honours master’s degree in Comparative Criminology and Criminal Justice from Maynooth University.
She has an extensive career teaching Philosophy of Law and Legal Reasoning and is currently a lecturer at a Uruguayan university. Recently, Sabrina published her dissertation at Maynooth Library: “Can Ireland Keep Us Safe? A View from the Latin American Community.” This research, which focuses on perceptions of policing, provides valuable insights into the security concerns and attitudes of the Latin American community in Ireland.
Before working as a Spanish tutor at Maynooth University, Sabrina completed an internship with the Irish Council for Prisoners Overseas. She has significant experience in public safety and the criminal justice system. For nearly ten years, she served in various roles within the Uruguayan Ministry of the Interior, where she earned a BA in Police Science and continues contributing to the field by teaching criminological theories to prison officers.
