Hello! My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning needs and goals. I aim to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing a genuine understanding of the subject.
I teach Science and Maths using a structured approach that focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and regular practice. At the beginning of lessons, I usually review previous learning to identify any gaps in understanding before introducing new topics. I explain concepts using simple language, real-life examples, diagrams, and worked examples to make learning easier and more relatable.
My lessons are interactive and student-centred. I encourage students to think independently, ask questions, and actively participate rather than simply memorising information. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student’s ability, learning pace, and confidence level. For students who need extra support, I break down complex topics into smaller manageable steps. For more confident learners, I provide additional challenge through problem-solving and exam-style questions.
I regularly use questioning, mini quizzes, and practice tasks throughout lessons to check understanding and ensure students are making progress. I also focus strongly on exam techniques, scientific vocabulary, and building problem-solving skills to help students improve both academically and confidently.
I have over 1.5 years of classroom teaching experience in Maths and Science, alongside more than four years of tutoring experience. I also hold a B.Sc., B.Ed., a Master’s in Education from Leeds Beckett University, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. My experience teaching in different educational settings has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and effective strategies for supporting students with different learning needs and abilities.
Above all, I want my students to feel motivated, supported, and confident in their learning. My goal is not only to help students improve grades, but also to develop understanding, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
