My lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and completely tailored to the individual student. I understand that every young person learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their strengths, challenges, and personal goals. Whether a student needs help improving grades, building confidence, or finding motivation, I create a safe and encouraging environment where they feel comfortable to learn and grow.

As a learning mentor, I offer more than subject tutoring. I support students with revision planning, organisation, resilience, and managing the emotional pressures that often come with school and exams. I know that academic success is closely linked to wellbeing, so I help students develop healthy study habits, confidence in their abilities, and strategies for overcoming setbacks. My mentoring approach focuses on motivation and mindset as much as knowledge, ensuring students feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.

My academic specialism is English. I have extensive experience supporting students with English Language and English Literature, from developing strong analytical writing skills to improving comprehension and exam technique. I specialise in Shakespeare and am highly familiar with all major GCSE texts, including novels, plays, and poetry anthologies. I guide students in understanding themes, characters, context, and how to structure high-quality responses that meet exam criteria.

My lessons are interactive and student-focused. I use discussion, practice questions, model answers, and targeted feedback to make sessions both productive and engaging. I also ensure students leave each lesson with clear next steps and practical tools they can use independently. I have worked in education for over three years, supporting young people in both academic and pastoral contexts, which has strengthened my ability to build strong relationships, adapt quickly, and meet a wide range of learning needs.
