Lessons would typically be an hour but I am more than willing to provide longer lessons. I can do online lessons but feel that it is usually more beneficial for students to see me face to face to optimise focus and productivity. Ideally, the lessons would take place at my house but I can travel if neccessary.

As a recent A level graduate, I understand how to decode mark schemes and make them accessible for all abilities from grade one to nine. I will tailor each lesson to each student's abilities/needs. Here is a list which outlines what is required for each exam. I will be able to help with all/any of these skills.

English Literature:
- Use textual references and quotes to support ideas. (P.E.E)- point, evidence and explanation.
- Analyse language and structure and the possible meanings and effects.
- Understand the historical and literary context. I can provide flashcards which will enable students to learn the relevant context quickly and easily.
- Write with clarity and flow.

English Language:
- Learn to identify significant/key moments in a passage.
- Recognise the importance of the writer's language choices and explore the effects of this.
- Match the creative writing effectively to the stimulus provided and write with clarity and conviction.

I will be helping students with past essay questions or past papers. I would ideally like each student to complete an essay or question a week outside of lesson time for me to mark and give them feedback on as writing is truly the best way to improve!
