Hello! I am Rohit Khatua, a postgraduate in Marine Biology and UGC-NET qualified in Environmental Science (June 2024). I have a strong academic background in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biodiversity, Marine Biology, Aquatic Ecosystems and Environmental Conservation.

**My Teaching Experience and Expertise**

I have practical teaching experience at The Neotia University, where I conducted practical classes for students and assisted with laboratory-based learning, research activities and scientific experiments. I have also worked as a Biology Subject Matter Specialist at Chegg, which helped me develop my ability to explain academic concepts and solve subject-related problems.

My research experience as a Project Assistant at the Centre for Climate and Environmental Studies (CCES), IISER Kolkata, provided me with practical exposure to aquatic biodiversity assessment, water quality analysis, plankton identification, environmental monitoring and microbiological techniques.

**My Teaching Methodology**

I believe that learning Environmental Science should be interesting, interactive and connected to real-world situations. My teaching approach focuses on:

• Explaining complex scientific concepts in simple and understandable language.
• Using diagrams, illustrations, presentations and real-life examples.
• Connecting theoretical knowledge with practical environmental applications.
• Encouraging students to ask questions and participate in discussions.
• Providing topic-wise explanations, revision sessions and practice questions.
• Identifying individual learning difficulties and adapting lessons according to each student's needs.

**What Students Can Expect**

My lessons will focus on building strong conceptual understanding rather than simply memorising textbook information. I can help students understand topics related to ecology, biodiversity, ecosystems, environmental pollution, climate change, conservation, marine and aquatic environments, and general Environmental Science.

I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring scientific ideas.
