Hello, I’m Bob, a qualified teacher with a Physics degree, a PGCE in Secondary Science and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I offer friendly, patient online tuition that helps you understand your subject, build confidence and make progress at a pace that suits you.

My subjects include Maths up to AS Level, Physics up to A Level, foundation-level general science, Functional Skills Maths, and IT and Data. I can also help with Excel, introductory SQL, basic Python and developing practical digital skills.

I spent the last 13 years teaching IT and Data with Baltic Apprenticeships, helping learners develop technical knowledge and apply it in practical situations. My wider background includes teaching in schools, further education and adult learning. I have at least 10 years’ experience delivering remote lessons and learner support through Microsoft Teams and Adobe Connect.

We’ll start by discussing what you want to achieve and identifying any topics you find difficult. Lessons will combine clear explanations, worked examples and opportunities for you to practise, with feedback throughout. I break unfamiliar ideas into manageable steps and encourage questions—there’s no need to worry about getting something wrong.

For exam preparation, we can work through relevant questions, strengthen your understanding and practise explaining your answers clearly. For computing and data subjects, we can use practical exercises to connect what you’re learning with everyday tasks.

Whether you’re revisiting the basics, preparing for an exam or learning something new, I’ll adapt our sessions to your starting point and goals. I hold a current DBS check and have completed recent safeguarding professional development.
