Rishabh Talwar

I offer Business tutoring for GCSE, IGCSE and IB students, as well as Maths support for GCSE and IGCSE students. I aim to make lessons clear, structured and easy to follow, especially when a topic initially feels confusing or overwhelming.

I achieved a B in IGCSE Business and a 5 in IB Business, and I also studied Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level (AA HL) during the IB Diploma Programme. This has given me a strong academic background in both Business and Maths and an understanding of the challenges students face at different stages of their studies.

My lessons would be adapted to each student rather than following the same approach every time. I would first identify which topics they feel confident with and where they are struggling, then focus our time on the areas where they can make the most progress.

For Business, I can help students understand key concepts, apply theory to real-world examples, improve exam technique and structure stronger written responses. We can also work through past-paper questions together and identify how answers can be improved to gain more marks.

For Maths, I focus on breaking problems into manageable steps and explaining the reasoning behind each method. I want students to understand how to approach a question independently rather than simply memorising a solution.

Most importantly, I want my lessons to feel relaxed and supportive. Students should feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and going over a topic more than once when needed. My goal is to help students become more confident, independent and prepared for their exams.
